Is it possible to flip the board for the 3D view? I want to use the raytracer feature to raytrace the bottom side of the board, and all components, but when I just rotate the board in the 3D viewer, the PCB gets very dark, i guess because the lights shine on the other side. I tried “View->Flip Board View” in pcbnew, but no effect for the raytracer.
Hmmmm, Z key works for me. Version info and screenshots please.
The Z key just shows the top side of the board. Here is an image why I mean. I’m using 5.1.0. I want the back side to look as bright as the front side.
That’s uppercase Z for the bottom side. 5.1.4 or 5.1.5 should be used.
You will want to turn off the “Floor” option in your render settings.

Thanks, this worked!
KiCad 3D Viewer rotates the camera, not the object. So as your “Floor” option is activated you are actually looking into the shadow side of your board Nice board rendering btw!
