3D Model(s) in Footprint editor not showing PCB

The PCB isn’t showing in my 3D Model(s) dialogue box. Not critical as KiCAD seems to work in every other respect. I’m concerned it’s indicative of a greater failing that may hit me further down the project - just when I least want it! Anyone got any suggestions as to where I can look to fix this please?

Win11 KiCad 9.0.3

I’m not sure what is happening.
I cant even reproduce the issue on my side.

Could you upload a test project where you are having this issue?

You may check the options (right bottom icon with a gear symbol). It may be that you disable the display of PCB or has other related options to experiment.

Interesting. Thank you for the nudge. In attempting to create a minimum cct for error (new schema & new PCB) I did my normal thing for the set up process and KiCAD worked normally. I went back to my project and didn’t need to retrace any steps. Something I had done/clicked/enabled/disabled in the other project percolated through to the main project. Unfortunately I’ve no idea what these critical steps were so this regrettably won’t be any help to anyone else reading this. It now behaves as it used to - so many thx

If I were to guess, it may be that when I generated the new PCB and checked its 3D representation, that that simple task migrated through to the footprint editor’s 3D Model s-expression and ‘fixed’ it. I don’t even know if that’s possible or even intended. Happy to test any other theories but obviously it’s unlikely I’ll be able to reproduce the initial problem!

@kammutierspule . Yes, did that. In v9.0.3 I only have one option which is board thickness - which is set to 1.6mm.
