who has 3d models and footprints to share? If you do please post a link to your data files.

Among others i have KiCAD files for free to download at GrabCAD. The KiCAD models are marked with the KiCAD logo in the thumbnail. Provided is all you need to implement the models to your KiCAD projects, on top of that native 3D files are also included. I design my models with FreeCAD and the KiCADStepUp tool.
I do not do electronic projects but i like to design 3D modles in CAD. I also play occasionally with KiCAD. I am stuck on KiCAD version 5 by running Windows7 and not going to switch any time soon. I mention this because the footprints are finalized by KiCAD, footprint geometry is made with FreeCAD.
KiCAD provides a good range of models out of the box and still there are so many variants and shapes. Guess most of you reviewing datasheets know that already.
