I know that it is not very important but a client asked me if is possible to show the 3D rendering of the PCB that I have designed to show the only TH components 8-pin IC’s (opto isolator) in an 8-pin socket.?
Dunno, maybe you can use FreeCAD to combine an IC and a socket into one 3D model which you then assign to the footprint.
You can edit the footprint to add multiple 3d models, e.g. below.
In this case I started with the socket and added the model for the IC.
