I’m a retired electrical engineer/computer scientist having spent nearly 23 years doing IT consulting for Computer Sciences Corporation (now DXC Technology). I started my career in 1980 working as an application engineer for Mostek Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer who second sourced the Zilog Z-80 and pioneered multiplexed-addressing DRAM technology. When I wrote software professionally, I worked in C and Z-80 assembler. In retirement, I’m getting back into my electronics hobby and am working on both hardware and software design for various home automation projects. I’ve taken up KiCad as my CAE platform as it costs little and has the capabilities my projects need.
