What do you mean precisely by adding a link to that bug in Kicad 6?
There are now over 18000 closed issues on gitlab. So you can add a link to that old issue and add it to #18945 so people who are familiar with the KiCad source code can have a look of whether that old topic (and it’s comitted fix) is relevant to this new topic.
Thumb up. ------------------------
Thumb up on the linked gitlab page, not here.
This is almost certainly not the V6 bug as I did not find it trying V7.
We are talking about version 8, not 7 nor 6.
I can confirm that this bug still seems to exist for KiCad 9.0 on Linux.
Just to say I am seeing exactly the same as everyone else here. No working landscape print (on Linux). Work around is to print to file as PDF open the file with default PDF reader and print from that.
When printing from Kicad and selecting portrait then an A4 schematic comes out of printer in portrait mode where the schematic is horizontal on the smaller width of A4 with lots of blank space top and bottom. When printing in landscape then schematic is similarly horizontal on the page but now at the top and larger (possibly correct) scale such that it cuts off the right side of the schematic as it overflows the right edge.
In landscape I would have expected it to have a similarly larger scale but become rotated 90 degrees. The issue seems to me that its the lack of page rotation that is at fault.
