I saw that idea about multiple pads with the same number. I would have to try that to see how it behaves. I do not understand “[RMB]/…”
FreeCAD is another software package with which I am completely unfamiliar. But so far I am reasonably happy with the rectangular pads I have generated. Although I have not yet made a board using KiCad, I have been using this technique for years with ExpressPCB. I do not know about primitives other than “stone knives and bearskins.”
@SembazuruCDE Necking down a pad under some circumstances sounds useful; I did not know that KiCad permitted varying a trace width between different segments. Again I have done that using ExpressPCB but that software is very rudimentary.
OK for me with my “marble mouse” and my laptop setup that would probably be a “LMB”
