Then I tried it the other way around, and it seems that if you paste data for multiple cells into the Symbol Fields editor it’s pretty buggy. I’ve had several failed assertions which made Eeschema crash completely.

Sound like time to try my bom2sch.py scripts – It work very well for me :-). Back import custom fields - #5 by nhatkhai
