In the middle of something else (I should be doing productive work to pay the bills of my employer) I quickly read the forum and became curious, looking around in the GUI, took a screenshot and pasted it here in case somebody could find it useful, then remembered there was another thread about ratsnest recently. Now I’m trying to continue with the mentioned productive work.

Not sure if this is the reason, but old versions of KiCad blanked out the Ratsnest lines when you started moving a part. That made KiCad unusable for me back then. When I saw KiCad 7 didn’t do that, I switched from Eagle. If there was a checkbox like this back then, I was unaware of it.
