Power pins don't auto-connect anymore

FWIW, while I do mostly design power circuits these days, I generally interface with and sometimes draw power from mostly digital boards. I can almost always count on finding 3.3 V and 1.8 V from the digital board, and 5 V if I am lucky (because most of my circuits need 5 V for the gate drive). I have not seen a logic board where a single 5 V supply was the main logic voltage bus in a decade or more.

I was using ST OmniFETs and according to datasheet to be sure I drive them correctly I needed 5V. Now I decided to use Diodes INTELLIFET (ZXMS6006D) and theoretically 3V3 is enough

I’m mostly designing with GaN FETs, and while they work on the bench at 3.3V, it’s not recommended practice and they are not guaranteed to meet spec.

They are slightly faster, though…
