Try to parametrically model for example the two handles here, where every single mm is really thought out and form modelled, Calcio_new.step (1.9 MB)
Obviously I don’t want you to try it, but maybe this helps you understand what my needs could be.
And I have to generate the complete gcode for it, gcode that is the fed to a LinuxCNC running machine
For now I just have a lot of simultaneous 3 axis machining but I hope to move to 4 axis machining
I’ve now seen that there are some experimental features that could be useful for it, but are still at the beginning, so maybe I just have to wait a few years so that PathWorkbench gets up to the task.
Yes, you may get the help you want at the FreeCAD forum.
If you mean Extruding and/or adding material/handle to the areas shown, easy to do. Video below…
If you mean CNC Milling (video below), also easy to do but, obviously it requires some planning on how you want it done and Gcode can be output in single or multiple files, as user desires.
Example is a quick Show&Tell. I selected only one item and did not bother to fuss with the important things that always need to be set. such as Feed/Speed, depth… Profile, Pocketing, Contouring…
I just selected Profile to reduce machine time, thus, Video time…
You get the idea… Oh, I have several firearms that I’ve made parts for using FreeCAD…
