When moving from 4.07 to 5.01, I lost all the symbols, moved back to 4.07
Also, why can I not switch off the auto zoom on 4.07.

Please be more careful with the version numbers, those don’t exist, 4.0.7 exists and 5.0.1 and 5.1.0. If you’re moving to v5, why not go directly to the latest version 5.1.5? It’s better than 5.0 and you will get help easier.
When you have some problem, please describe it accurately. “Auto zoom” doesn’t tell much. Give numbered steps which we can follow to see what you do, then describe accurately what happens and what you expect. Screenshots or screencasts of your workflow and the situation may be good.
