Great stuff. Very interesting. In the 1970’s my employer designed ICs using that black tape and a light table.

Our new one, named Sirius (by the brightest star on South hemisphere), still using Altium as far I known.
I helped convert the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron at BNL to a polarized beam back in the early 1980s. I see it’s still in use (now feeding the much larger RHIC).
