Make a box out of PCB

If I type in “extension nut” I get mostly the bigger versions, meant to connect some pieces of allthread together.

“Standoff spacer” works better:

But you also get all sorts of other stuff. Also plaxtic variants, and aluminum tubes and such.

Nice looking Bas. I have never tried anything like this. For the mousebites, perhaps just one row of holes down the middle and sand/file down the little tabs? Just a light push onto the disc sander to buzz them off.

nice result, i’ve already used PCBs for front panels for commercial boxes, i’m waiting for a suitable application to try this myself.

Maybe solderable pads/areas can be provided on the edges to assemble and secure the box?

Yes, but with vias to stop the tracks peeling off the inside ?
