A long while ago I made a few PCBs with a nightly build. I want to load them into the 5.1.10 but can’t. It says that I need a newer version. I can load them with the latest nightly build still. Is there an easy way to convert it to 5.1.10?

Can a project edited with newer version of KiCad be opened with older version? FAQ

KiCad’s software versioning scheme x.y.z is defined so that all released versions with the same x are project (file format) compatible with each other. The development versions x.99 are not compatible: for example projects edited with 6.99 can’t necessarily be opened with 6.0.
