Incidentally, the thousands of .bxl CAD/CAE files on Microchipâs website (~ 641 just for the 16F family, for example),
http://www.microchip.com/development-tools/resources/cad-cae-symbols
can be converted with bxl2text, which now exports an eeschema (.lib) file as well as gEDA gschem schematic symbols and gEDA compatible (.fp) files - which pcbnew can load.
