I’m in desperate need of help!
this might be a rookie question but i’ve been trying to figure out a shortcut on how to highlight multiple variables in ‘‘assign footprints’’ in schematic. I’m on a Mac and I can’t seem to find anywhere how to do it. I can’t apply my schematics and move on with my work 
What do you mean by “highlight multiple variables”?
Without further info i can really only point you to our general FAQ article about assigning footprints: How can i assign a footprint to a symbol?
Maybe read through it and use the knowledge gained to possibly better describe where your problem is. Also make sure to tell us what KiCad version you are using.
