I hereby certify that I am not simply asking someone else to design a footprint for me.
This is an auto-generated message that is in place on the “footprints” section of the KiCad.info forum. If I remove it and ask for a footprint to be designed anyway, I understand that I will be subject to forum members telling me to go design my own footprint or referring me to a 3rd party footprint site.
Hi,
I encounter some errors “footprint cannot find in any library” like the following picture.
The symbols I download from https://componentsearchengine.com/.
I don’t know the reference parameters of those components.
How can I do it?
It doesn’t seem to be mentioned in the link @BobZ posted, but it is mentioned on many occasions elsewhere:
You must create your own library/s in which to place any imported or personally created footprints and your PBC must be linked to those/that library.
You cannot place imported or created footprints in Kicad libraries and you cannot use foootprints not in a library.
The above also holds true for symbols in schematic.
