Oh, I’ve been trying to get a grip on simulation in KiCad and resorted to using falstad.com/circuit since I just couldn’t get things to work.
These examples are great for studying and hopefully understanding it enough to be able to do my own - many thanks!
I prefer the port of Falstad to HTML5 here: Lushprojects.com - www.lushprojects.com - Circuit Simulator This one will work in any modern browser without needing Java.
And he’s gone full circle, with LushProjects referring to falstad.com/circuit which is CircuitJS 2.8.1js, i.e. the port made by LushProjects. 
The one at LushProjects site is 2.4.2js.
Ah that’s good news. I’ll use the latest JS version from now on.
