Yesterday, the Norton at work squawked about an infection in " libcairo-2.dll ", after I downloaded and installed < kicad-r7493.ba9576b-x86_64.exe >. I didn’t troubleshoot it, except to discover that GNUPlot, and a couple other programs, all seem to have their own copy of libcairo-2.dll .
Today at home I downloaded and installed < kicad-r7499.550a1ea-x86_64.exe >. It looks like everything is functional and acceptable.

I contacted SonicWall and put in a support request. They have “fixed” the problem for now by removing the GAV rule that was catching the download.
