Hello,
I would like to design a spiral in Kicad but I can’t find any tool to do that.
Until now I was creating the spiral in Autocad, then converted it to gerber and then export from GerberView as .pcb.
Is there any way to design it entirely in Kicad?
I’m attaching an image of an older spiral transferred to Kicad.

I am trying to create a multi-layer PCB inductive antenna - currently 2 layers, maybe more in the future. I created a spiral pattern in a BMP file using the specs from (http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/analog/webench/inductive-sensing.page ) and imported it into KiCad using the Bitmap2Component Tool. There is the following utility
which can do the calculations for n-gon spiral inductors

and can export in kicad .mod format.
The guesstimated (using the equations for a circular coil) parameters for the above coil are:
Calculated inductance (Henries): 5.1530798890899644E-5
Calculated inductance (uH): 51.5308
Calculated self resonant frequency (Hz): 4457487
Calculated self resonant frequency (MHz): 4.4575

I had to design spiral antenna for a project and found old forum entries here with some code from Joan Sparky (thanks) to get things done. I put it slightly modified into a wizard plugin and used it to design NFC antennas. Thought I’d share it here.
