Here I am, downloading 5.1.0 from Cern (https://kicad-downloads.s3.cern.ch).
(Already packaged… That was fast, thanks a lot.)
But… with 100 … 120 kByte per second.
That’s no fun, even if I’m payed for that time.

I hope that improves a bit at some time in the near future.

Anyway, it comes at the right moment for me - the start of a new project.

There has been discussion about that. It’s not clear if it’s CERN or some route in the internet. But right now there may be a rush hour because of 5.1.0 release. There’s an offical mirror in the download page.
