Can't add Footprint Library

Hello!
I’m trying to add a footprint library via the menu Preferences → Manage Footprint Libraries.
But .kicad_mod files are not available (see screenshot).
How can I solve this problem?

This FAQ should explain all.

You cannot touch Kicad libraries, to install personal and 3rd party libraries, you need to create your own library structure.

You just select the directory. Kicad automatically adds all kicad_mod files. So just press Open in the screenshotted dialog.
