Over the last 30 years I’ve come to thoroughly dislike microsoft and that is not likely to change soon. I am also among the few who left github when mircosoft bought it.

For the rest, I do not understand why you don’t deal with her directly to solve your own problem.
Also, I may want to help her with her project, but why is this then going via you? I also don’t work for free on closed projects. My main motivation is promoting the use of KiCad and working on someone else’s private project does not do much in that direction.
