That is a slightly different process as I typically try to avoid using the mouse when adding lots of pins in succession.
I havent changed any hotkeys, they should all be defaults.
My process is to start by using the mouse to add the first pin where I want it. I then press, say, the Down arrow key on the keyboard to move to the position where I want the next pin, Enter to bring up the pin properties window and fill in which ever details I need for the next pin, then Enter twice to add the pin and place it, then repeat from the Down arrow step to start on the next pin. Repeat as much as required.
Indeed, if I use the mouse the pins will be aligned to the grid, but this somewhat defeats the purpose of keyboard navigation.
The interesting is that if I use the Enter key like you do, the X and Y coordinates are indeed odd numbers but that seems to be only the cursor position and the created pin does snap to the grid.

Ok this gets even stranger, it is also happening in 8.0.1 now too…!
The biggest change lately is I upgraded to macOS Sequoia, so I wonder if some odd issue has come along with this new macOS…
Going to try on my Windows desktop and see what happens.
Yeah ok, I think this is a macOS Sequoia thing. Or at least it is a macOS or KiCad on macOS thing in general.
Windows 11, both KiCad 8.0.5 and 8.0.7 I can observe the following:
Placing the initial pin, once I have entered the information in the properties window I press enter and I can see the pin snapping to the grid before even moving my mouse. This definitely does not happen for me on macOS (now, any more), the pin is placed at the tip of the cursor where ever it happens to be regardless of the grid.
Then following my process above using the down arrow, all subsequent pins are aligned to the grid perfectly.
I’ll search through bugs tomorrow and see if I can spot anything that covers this, and if not then I’ll create something.
Thanks all.
