Unfortunately KiCad’s 3D Viewer does not support textures :confused:

There is something you can try for fun:
Some time ago I added a 3D text as a IC package information.
The process I did to get 3D text (if I remember correctly) was:

  • Get a good resolution clear image
  • Using Inkscape convert the image to a vector and clean it. ( I dont remember if I did other process conversion)
  • Export it with a format that FreeCAD can understand.
  • Import it with FreeCAD (I dont remember the details). You may want to extrude it if you want.

I would love to see that detailed VU meter and that you could share for community!
