I don’t understand what you are trying to show with your pictures. Footprint editor and symbol editor are different tools having different history. It should be clear if you take in mind that symbol library is a file while footprint library is a folder (directory). In past they had even more different user interfaces than they have now.
If you want to see old footprint at the same time with new footprint it should be possible by running two KiCad instances.
Same here. You are obviously no native English speaker. I assume you are using a translating service, but there is only one sentence in your post. Using some more sentences of what you are attempting to achieve, and what does not work the way you prefer may help.

The “*” asterisk at the end of the Name indicates to me that the File was Not yet Saved. Thus, not accessible, yet. Right-click and Save it (to the selected Folder)
