OS X install problem

I have difficulty installing kicad on OS X 11: opening kicad.app gives the following error:

You can’t open the application “kicad.app” because it may be damaged or incomplete.

I’ve downloaded twice (V 4.0.5) and I’ve tried both the installer and just double clicking on the app. The app is 15,300,294 bytes (dated 12/19 at 19:51), the downloaded dmg much bigger: 337,423,341 bytes.

(I’m trying to decide if I should switch from Eagle …)

We have found the issue (user error) and are currently uploading the correct dmg, it should be up in the next hour or so
