Okay, In my case, I was trying kiri git diff tool that generated tons of file that kicad seems to have trouble processing, I deleted the generated folder ./.kiri from the project repo, and voila it solved the lag issue.

I haven’t had any new hanging events on open after changing the display options to fallback graphics, so it seems like this really might be it.

Can you share your unique Id? (it’s ok to share it publicly since only lead devs have access to this system)

This seems very much like an issue in your graphics driver.

I don’t see any crashes from 18 days ago.

But I see a crash from 1 hour ago (from 9.0.3), perhaps you should upgrade to 9.0.6.

Odd, I haven’t actually experienced a crash today so I’m not sure what the event 1 hour ago would be. I’ll update to 9.0.6 now.

I was posting about the hanging-on-open issue 21 days ago and then adjusted the graphics settings, after which I haven’t had any other issues. I also enabled my anonymous logging at this time, so unfortunately it wouldn’t have caught any of the crash events prior.
