KiCad Nightly now supports Gerber X2 https://kicad.org/post/gerber-x2-support/
I am glad the X2 options are defaulting to Off, we have enough problems between Gerber 4.5 and 4.6 with fabs using obsolete software.
Are there many fabs offering X2 support yet?
I’m more than impressed with the Raytracing output of the last one.
Top job to anyone involved. That final pass that blurrs and seems to add reflection + some sort of GI shadow is top notch.
It would be a good idea for the tool tip, that pops up when the mouse is placed at the X2 selection box, suggests checking with the PCB fab first
