Creating new components

Hi,

I’m trying to create a new component in the following way:

  • Open the Library editor from within Eeschema
  • Select working library conn
  • Load CONN_01X04 from current library
  • Save current component to new library in my home dir somewhere
  • Add the dir path to the Eeschema preferences > component library

Now when I want to add a component to my schematic the newly created library isn’t there to select components from. What more is required to access newly made libraries? I’m using BZR 6305.

Oh my, after you set the path you need to click “add” to actually add the path. It works now!
