Hi all,
I am doing first steps with KiCad (have some experience with Target and Eagle). When using “Annotation” to mark the symbols in the schematic KiCad changes the arrangement of the symbols (in my case from left to right) and some “logic” (with respect to signal flow) in the schematic is lost.
How can I tell KiCad to only mark the symbols with successive figures and keeping multiunit-symbols untouched?
Wolfgang
There is a bunch of options in the annotation window that allow to do what you want.
Hi Pedro,
thanks for your answer.
I tried all the possibilities: No success.
Can you tell me more detailled which and how to set the parameter?
Thanks.
Wolfgang
As you put this into the layout category, is it possible that you mean after reanotating the footprints of the layout are rearanged (meaning moved around)?
If this is the case then use “by timestamb” instead of “by reference” in the update pcb process (or on netlist import depending on which workflow you use)
If this is indeed about the schematic could you show a screenshot from before the annotation and one after it?
Maybe your needs are more complicated than the options offered by Annotate.
Or maybe your case is the one Rene suggests.
